Overview of the CSR Report

Editorial Policy

This CSR Report strives to disclose in good faith the policies, initiatives, and activities of the Hino Motors Group, with the overall aim of realizing the Hino Credo. In this manner, the Group is endeavoring to further enhance communication with all stakeholders.
 Hino Motors strives to consistently deliver vehicles that address a variety of environmental, fuel consumption, safety and social concerns. This CSR Report provides details of the Company's internal organizations, structure and systems, human resource education and training initiatives, as well as environmentally conscious measures. Together, these provide the basis for Hino Motors' core activities and its objective to help people and goods get where they need to go in the countries and regions where the Company operates.
 In compiling this Report, Hino Motors has placed the highest importance on clearly and concisely presenting relevant and informative materials to its stakeholders, including customers, business partners, shareholders, employees, as well as local communities around the world. With this in mind, the Company has paid particular attention to the 2006 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines, a set of internationally recognized standards pertaining to sustainability reporting published by the Global Reporting Initiative.*
 Hino Motors has decided to utilize its Web site as the Company's principal means of disclosure from fiscal 2009. In this way, the Company is focusing on efforts to further enhance the content and quality of the Report, ensure more timely disclosure and incorporate environmental concerns. An abridged brochure edition of Hino Motors' CSR activities has also been published.
 Through this Report and dialogue with its stakeholders, Hino Motors is aiming to help realize a sustainable society. For this purpose, we welcome your candid comments and opinions.

Scope of the Report

This Report covers the social, environmental, and economic activities of Hino Motors Co., Ltd., on a non-consolidated basis, as well as the activities of certain Group companies.
 There were no major changes to the Company's organizational structure as a result of merger or business consolidation during the period covered by the Report.
 There were no major changes to data measurements with respect to the Report's content and details.
