HINO TEAM SUGAWARA

HINO TEAM SUGAWARA is a selected team of individuals who carry the name and hopes of the Hino brand. The team uses the "Little Monsters", based on the HINO500 Series trucks that are known for their world-class durability, to win Dakar Rally, one of the toughest races in the world.

History & Race Report

In 1991, Hino Motors became the first Japanese truck maker to compete in the Dakar Rally. The race is renowned as the “world’s most grueling rally” and some years as few as 20.5% of competitors reach the finish line. The Hino team has completed the rally consecutively since first taking part.
