Hino Motors announces organizational change and change in responsibilities and reshuffling of company officers

Hino Motors, Ltd. (“Hino”) hereby officially announces an organizational change as well as a change in the responsibilities and reshuffling of company officers, as described below, effective June 29, 2005.
1. Partial organizational change

1) Business Administration Division
【Description of the change】 ・The Business Administration Division will be divided into the Toyota Sales & Planning Division and Power Train Sales & Planning Division. The Scania Department will be transferred to the Corporate Planning Division.
【Reason】 ・ In order to respond to the expansion in Toyota-related operations field (global unit) and the reinforcement and expansion of engine business
・ In order to position and promote Scania business as an alliance
2) Vehicle & Service Parts Logistics Division
【Description of the change】 ・The Vehicle Distribution Department will be transferred from the Vehicle & Service Parts Logistics Division to the Project Planning & Control Division. Along with this change, the Vehicle & Service Parts Logistics Division will be renamed the Service Parts Logistics Division.
【Reason】 ・In order to ensure consistent management of distribution from production through marketing by the Project Planning & Control Division
3) Overseas Business Planning Division
【Description of the change】 ・The Overseas Business Planning Division will be renamed the Overseas Planning Division.
【Reason】 ・In order to clarify the fact that planning functions represent the core mission of the division (market and marketing strategies) Also because overseas distribution functions have already been transferred to the Logistics Planning Division
As a result of the above organizational changes, the company will consist of 67 organizations (divisions) (66 prior to the change).
