Hino Motors establishes Customer Technical Center

- Based on the concept of a facility where customers can drive, learn and try at any time-

Hino Motors Ltd. (“Hino”) has established a Customer Technical Center, a facility where customers can learn about a fuel economy driving and safe driving in Hamura City, Tokyo. The Center is the first permanent customer-oriented learning facility of its kind in Japan directly managed by a vehicle manufacturer.

Hino has thus far held workshops and other activities as a part of its customer support activities using vehicle test courses. In recent years, however, there has been an increase in requests from customers for workshops and learning opportunities for the purpose of reducing costs and preventing accidents and there has been an especially large number of requests for instruction in fuel economy driving.
In order to respond adequately to these requests, the company therefore judged that there was a need for special learning facilities that would be available for use at any time. It then established the Customer Technical Center as a facility for instruction that can be implemented consistently over the entire spectrum from explanations by lecture and exhibit to actual driving practice.

The Customer Technical Center is a facility with a circular course with a total length of 1.2km, a training area with exhibit space and conference room with maximum capacity of 50 and instruction at the center consists of explanations of environmental regulations, Hino’s latest vehicles, and so forth centered in fuel economy and safe driving learning.
