Hino Motors adds new model to its Hino Blue Ribbon II line of large-sized route buses and releases it on the market

Hino Motors, Ltd., has added a new model compliant with the New Short-term Emission Regulations of 2004 to its Hino Blue Ribbon II line of large-sized route buses and launched sales on January 14.

The new model is equipped with a new model 6HK1-TCC engine and features low-pollution performance receiving “Excellent LEV” designation in the LEV certification system of 8 prefectures and cities (Tokyo Prefecture, etc.), “Lev-6” designation in the LEV designation system of 6 prefectures and cities in the Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe area and compliance with environmental ordinances of 4 prefectural governments while also achieving an improvement of about 5% in fuel consumption compared to existing models.

In addition, the vehicle also features the improved light intensity distribution of its lighting equipment (headlights, taillights, direction indicators, etc.) and has achieved early compliance with the amended illumination device safety standards of 2006.

The new model, like Hino Blue Ribbon II buses already on the market, is also compliant with the standard specification non-step bus certification system of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
