Hino Motors Medium-Duty Truck Hino Ranger in compliance with Low-Emission Heavy-Duty Vehicle Standards
- First in the nation in the medium-duty truck class to achieve 10% reduction in NOx and PM emissions compared to the New Long-Term Emission Regulations, highest rank in the Low-Emission Heavy-Duty Vehicle standards -Hino Motors, Ltd. (“Hino”) has achieved a further 10% reduction in NOx and PM emissions compared to the New Long-Term Emission Regulations of 2005 the highest rank in the Low-Emission Heavy-Duty Vehicle standards and the first in the nation for a truck of this class*, in its medium-duty truck Hino Ranger, which is set to launch sales on November 1.
The Hino Ranger, which complies with the New Long-Term Emission Regulations, already demonstrated outstanding environmental performance capable of satisfying the Low-Emission Heavy-Duty Vehicle standards at the time of its release in May of last year because of Hino’s own unique clean diesel system DPR.
Along with the start of application of the standards, the truck is now being released on the market after re-acquisition of certification as a vehicle that complies with the New Long-Term Emission Regulations and the Low-Emission Heavy-Duty Vehicle standards (10% reduction in NOx and PM compared to the Long-Term Emission Regulations)
As an environmental forerunner, Hino will continue to strive to achieve the development and dissemination of trucks and buses that reduce the burden on the environment.
