Hino and Scania agree HINO medium-duty truck sales in Korea
-- The second co-operation in the area of joint marketing between the two companies --Hino Motors, Ltd. (Hino) and Swedish commercial vehicle manufacturer Scania AB (Scania) came to an agreement to sell HINO medium-duty trucks in the Republic of Korea (Korea) and a distributorship agreement was concluded between Scania Korea Ltd. (Scania’s 100% owned subsidiary in Korea) and Hino.
Hino and Scania aim to launch the products in the spring of 2007.
In March 2002, a co-operation agreement, in the area of joint marketing and exchanges of knowledge and experience within R&D and production, was concluded between Hino and Scania. Hino has marketed Scania tractor in the Japanese market since September 2003. Therefore this co-operation is the second one in the area of joint marketing.
Hino and Scania strengthen the co-operation globally, in order to increase the market potential for both companies.
