Hino Motors newly sets “Pro Shift 12” on heavy-duty truck Hino Profia models mounted with A09C engines

Hino Motors, Ltd. (Hino) has newly added models with the semi-automatic transmission “Pro Shift 12,” which lessens the load on the driver and gets maximum engine fuel efficiency performance, to its heavy-duty truck Hino Profia models mounted with the lightweight, low fuel consumption A09C engines. The new models have been put on the market today in the domestic market.

The “Pro Shift 12” transmission has so far been mounted on vehicles with the E13C engines. It now finds its new application area in vehicles with the lightweight, low fuel consumption engine, A09C (piston displacement 8.9 L).
“Pro Shift 12,” with a wide ratio range capability, ensures an optimum engine speed range for greater fuel efficiency at all times. Combined with the characteristics of the A09C engine exhibiting a high torque output even in the low speed range, the new transmission improves fuel efficiency even further. In addition, the standard eco-driving support system, including “My Drive Master” and “Hino Eco-Run,” ensures maximum fuel efficiency performance.
