Hino Motors Performs Construction Starting Ceremony for its New Factory in Russia

April 24, Hino Motors LLC (Head office: Moscow City; President and CEO: Mikio Segawa, hereafter referred to as "Hino Russia"), Russian subsidiary of Hino Motors, Ltd. (Head office: Hino City, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yoshio Shimo; hereafter referred to as "Hino"), performed a construction starting ceremony at the building site of its new factory in the city of Khimki in Moscow Oblast. Present at the ceremony were distinguished guests including Mr. Andrey Vorobyov, governor of the Moscow Oblast, and Mr. Masafumi Oki, counsellor of the Japanese embassy in Russia. Also present at the ceremony was Mr. Mikio Segawa, president of Hino Russia.

Mr. Mikio Segawa, president of Hino Russia said "Hino came to Russia in 2008 and since then we were able to win the favor of a large number of customers due to the high quality of our trucks and our comprehensive follow-up services in the spirit of "Total Support". And now, I declare that Hino sincerely believes in the prospects of the Russian market and has long-term plans for developing its business in Russia. And the beginning of this construction proves our commitment to Russia. We hope that the new Hino initiative will contribute Russian customers' business, Moscow region and the city of Khimki!"

In our "Challenge 2025*" initiative, we at Hino envision increasing our global unit sales as part of our efforts to strengthen our business structure for providing value to our customers and societies. We place emphasis on Russia as a market where we can expect to see growth moving forward, and by building this new factory, we seek to enhance our competitive capabilities and establish firm roots for the Hino brand in the local market as we aim to further increase our sales.
