Hino Motors held the "International Award Ceremony for HINO Skills Contest Winners"

- The winning staff were honored for practicing "Total Support customized for each customer in the forefront." -

 May 23, Hino Motors, Ltd. (Head office: Hino City, Tokyo, President and CEO: Yoshio Shimo, hereafter referred to as "Hino") held the "International Award Ceremony for HINO Skills Contest Winners" in Hino Head office to honor the winners of HINO Skills Contest in countries and regions around the world.

 To realize "Total Support customized for each vehicle," held up in "Challenge 2025※1," Hino has accelerated its efforts on a global basis. As a part of its endeavors, Hino holds a HINO Skills Contest to improve the skills of the field staff working as contacts to provide value to customers. The Skills Contest is held every year in each country, where the representatives of each department, such as sales, service, and spare parts, join to compete with one another in the knowledge and skills cultivated in their daily work.※2 HINO Skills Contest started in Japan in 1971, and extended overseas starting with Thailand in 1993, with an increasing number of countries participating every year along with the development of the Total Support activity. What's more, Latin America and the Middle East have regional competitions, where the winners of each nation gather to vie for the position of the best staff in each region.

 Hino has invited the winners of each nation and region to the Head office since 2015 to honor each of them in order to praise their victories and raise motivation levels even further. This year, Hino invited 49 winners from 17 countries to the award ceremony, where Yasuhiko Ichihashi, the Chairman of the Board, praised their great achievements and showed gratitude for their daily practice of Total Support, handing a commemorative plaque to each winner with words of gratitude. In the ceremony, Mr. Ichihashi said "I believe that each of you have overcome your own difficulties, both in work and in your lives, for acquiring today's great achievement. I appreciate your endeavor and commitment in providing Total Support to our customers, which leads us to be their true business partner. Hino Motors would like to ask everyone to continue providing their skills and excellent service to all Hino customers starting from the purchase until the end of the vehicle's lifetime. By this, we aim to give proper support to our customer's business and people in general."

 After the ceremony, Mr. Alexis Gonzalez from Costa Rica said on behalf of the winners, "In my opinion, HINO Skills Contest aims to strengthen our knowledge and increase our skills, however, it also seeks to generate an impact on each one of the customers, who will receive comprehensive and better advice in the areas of service, spare parts and sales. HINO Skills Contest has taught me that I can always be better, that I can learn more, and that healthy competition will always bring a reward for all of us whether win or not."

 From now on, Hino will increase the number of nations participating in the Skills Contest so that all these countries will make full efforts to win the competitions in all departments, such as sales, service, and spare parts, aiming at consistent Total Support from sales to the after-sales service for further improvement in field abilities on a global basis.

 To achieve our vision embodied in our slogan "Trucks and buses that do more," Hino focuses on our Three Directions, namely, "Best-fit products incorporating safety and environmental technologies," "Total support customized for each vehicle," and "New activity areas." Hino will endeavor to meet the various needs of customers and continue presenting these values to customers and society.
