The companies participating in the project of Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies (CJPT) approved Hino Motors, Ltd. (headquartered in Hino City, Tokyo; president: Satoshi Ogiso) , which was expelled in August 2022, to reinstate to the CJPT project.
Hino will take this opportunity in a sincere manner, and contribute to the activities of CJPT, with the aim of realizing a carbon-neutral society by diffusing the CASE technology.
As Hino has been involved with the activities of CJPT in Thailand since April 2023, we will also join the project of Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies Asia (CJPT-Asia), whose establishment has been announced today.
Hino took that misconduct seriously, carefully handled the situation by making vehicles authorized again, giving explanations to each customer, and so on, and implemented thoroughgoing measures for preventing recurrence, including the reform of our corporate culture. We will continue these company-wide efforts to regain trust.
With the aim of realizing a carbon-neutral society and helping to solve social issues, including the logistics problem in 2024, the improvement of social infrastructure, and safety improvement by joining the projects of CJPT and CJPT-Asia again, we will enhance and accelerate our initiatives in cooperation with partners who share our aspiration.
