Hino Motors, Ltd. (hereafter Hino Motors) published its annual CSR report on its global website on November 29. The report presents Hino Motors' approaches to CSR and the CSR activities undertaken by the Hino Group in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2017 in an accessible and easy-to-understand format. An overview of the report is as follows.

1. Hino Environmental Challenge 2050

The Hino Environmental Challenge 2050 is introduced in a special feature, detailing Hino Motors' long-term environmental goals for the year 2050.

The initiatives that Hino Motors will engage in to help build a sustainable world are detailed in the form of six challenges.

2. Social Performance

This section introduces Hino Motors' concepts and the progress of activities to deliver on The Hino Credo for each stakeholder group: customers, employees, business partners, shareholders and local communities.

Special Feature: "Ton-Ton Kids" Nursery School - Initiatives to support employees in their child rearing years This special feature introduces Hino Motors' in-house nursery school, established as part of its effort to make workplaces more convenient for employees to ensure that they can make the most of their capabilities.

3. Environmental Performance

This section introduces the environmental management activities of Hino Motors based on the Hino Global Environment Charter, which lays out the Company's basic approach to environmental conservation. It also covers other activities that are being advanced in accordance with the 2020 Environmental Initiative Plan* to address various environmental issues, providing relevant performance data.

Special Feature: Striving to make trucks that customers continue to want - The new Hino Profia and Hino Ranger.

This special feature presents the environmental and safety performance and other characteristics of the new medium- and heavy-duty trucks that Hino has developed to meet societal and customer needs. It also introduces the thoughts and ideas of the people involved in development.
